Arabica Coffee to reopen again in the Philippines

Arabica issued a statement on the sudden closure of their coffee shops in the Philippines.

On January 31, the beloved coffee brand from Kyoto posted a statement on their Facebook page saying the franchise period with their current partner has already ended.

"We have agreed not to continue the collaboration for the next term," Arabica explained, adding they "appreciate very much their enormous efforts in running the business in the difficult Covid time."

But, there is no need to worry as Arabic has already selected a new partner who are set to "make a fresh start this year to expand throughout the country."

"Please wait for a couple of months for the new opening announcement. We cannot wait to serve you our simple delicious coffee to you once again," they added.

Arabica also explained their Instagram account @arabica.journal has been hacked for the past few days and that they've been in touch with Instagram to recover their account.

As of this writing, the account is back up but there is no profile picture to be seen. The the most recent post on Instagram was six days ago.

Netizens have been posting about the closure and expressing their dismay after learning that the three Arabica branches in the Philippines are currently closed. — LA, GMA News
