Craving Spanish food in Boracay? Head to Dos Mestizos

Fancy spending the summer in Spain but your budget can only take you to a local destination? Fret not, because you can experience a taste of Spanish food while enjoying the white sand beach of Boracay!

Dos Mestizos, a cozy restaurant located along the busy main road of the island's Station 1, is dedicated to offering a wide variety of Spanish goodies that are sure to fit just anyone's palate.

Since opening its doors to the public a decade ago, it has become a favorite to locals and tourists alike. At times, some would even find it hard to lock a seat.

With the cozy and homey interior accentuated with pieces that will take you to a classical dreamland, it's no wonder. But of course, the spotlight is on the food.

Scrolling through the menu, you will find a variety of goods that would go perfect with whatever mood you are in. Each category comes with different flavors that are worth the try.

Their tapas, for instance, comes in 22 options. You may choose from Queso Manchego, Baked Oysters Al Espagnola, Croquettas De Jamon, and Salpicao De Pescado, among others.

Of course, there's also paella. A vegetarian? Try the Paella De Verduras. Craving seafood? Paella De Mariscos is the way to go. There's also the good old Paella Negra to complete the experience.

While those are already filling, one can't leave Dos Mestizos without trying their Cochinillo, Pollo Al Aljillo and Lengua De Vaca, which are just some of their bestsellers.

With guests flocking to the restaurant day in and day out, manager Jon Achaval said he believes it's due to the "magic touch" that the people behind the menu brings to the tourist spot.

"Consistency of the food and the materials, ingredients used are all special—not the pipitsugin [ones]," he told GMA News Online. "We don't spare anything."

Dos Mestizos accepts reservations through their website.
