What was 'Crazy Rich Asians' author Kevin Kwan's last meal before leaving the Philippines?

Kevin Kwan may have sampled the creme dela creme of the Philippines, dining in five-star hotels, hobknobbing with socialites like Heart Evangelista, and staying in ultra-exclusive and expensive resorts.

But before leaving the Philippines, the author of super popular "Crazy Rich Asians" made sure to have a quintessential Filipino meal.

On Instagram Thursday, Kevin shared his last meal in the Philippines: "Chicken Joy, Spaghetti and Yum burger," courtesy of Tourism department secretary Berna Romula-Puyat.

"Last meal in the Philippines," he captioned his post showing a Jollibee boxed meal familiar to all of us. "Before takeoff, Secretary Berna treated me to my favorite Chicken Joy, Spaghetti and Yum burger," he shared.

What Kevin left out is the delicious piece of burger steak, which is part of the fastfood chain's Super Meal offer.

"My visit is complete," he ended his post and used the hashtag #savethebestforlast.

In the comments section, Heart bid her friend goodbye saying, "so cute Kevin!"

Kevin was recently in Manila for the World Travel and Tourism Council Global Summit (WTTC) for which he was a speaker. The popular author then jetted off to Palawan, where he of course enjoyed our world-class beaches.
