For anyone who wants a quick getaway from the Metro, be it a date, a gala with your friends, bonding with your loved ones, or an out of town trip to celebrate the New Year, Tagaytay City in Cavite is the go-to place.

Only a few hours drive from Metro Manila, Tagaytay is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the country, not only because of its cold weather but also because of the city's pride when it comes to mouthwatering dishes.

Getting there: Going to Tagaytay is easier than you think. If you have a private car, then you are all set. From Manila, head to the Biñan exit through SLEX. From there, enter the CALAX Toll Booth Biñan and take the exit at the CALAX Silang Toll. There, you will reach the Santa Rosa-Tagaytay Road, which will lead you to Tagaytay City.

Don't worry if you don't have a car, because you can always ride a bus! From Manila, board a bus that says Tagaytay, Olivarez, or Mendez on its signage. Olivarez, also referred to as the Tagaytay-Rotonda area, serves as the city's economic hub. Meanwhile, Mendez is a nearby town to Tagaytay, and buses to this destination pass through Tagaytay.
