Crosta, A Mano, Wildflour, Minante Pizzeria among APAC's 50 Top Pizza in 2025
Four pizzerias in the Philippines were named among the 50 best pizzerias of the Asia Pacific (APAC) region this 2025!
On Monday, the 50 Top Pizza Awards held its recognition ceremony at Istituto di Cultura Tokyo, Japan, Monday where the Philippine pizzerias received their awards.
Crosta Pizzeria in Makati ranked fifth place, three positions lower than its second-place ranking in 2024.
Owned by married couple Ingga Cabangon-Chua and Thomas Wudwyk and led by chef Yuichi Ito, Crosta is famous for its signature sourdough crust and varieties for those with vegetarian and vegan dietary restrictions.
A Mano ranked seventh this year, five spots higher than its previous ranking of 12th last year. It is tied with Dante’s Pizzeria by Enis Baçova in Auckland, New Zealand.
Owned by Amado Fores, the son of the late chef Margarita Fores, A Mano is known for its traditional-leaning pizza cooked in its iconic red Valoriani oven.
Another Philippine restaurant featured on the list is Wildflour Italian, claiming the 42nd spot, four spots lower than last year's 38th ranking.
This Italian-centered restaurant is under the Wildflour group led by president and CEO Ana Lorenzana de Ocampo and founding partners Walter and Margarita Manzke. The restaurant is famous for its wood-fired brick oven pizza, similar to Italy's.
Completing the Philippine pizzeria on the list is Minante Pizzeria in Cebu, ranking 48th, which is a new entry for the country.
Owned by chefs Matteo Minante and Jan Rodriguez, Minante Pizzeria is the first and only pizzeria in the Philippines certified by the True Neapolitan Pizza Association. Aside from its authentic Neapolitan pizza, the establishment also serves pasta, charcuterie, and more.
Meanwhile, the top five pizzerias on the list are The Pizza Bar on 38th in Tokyo, Japan; RistoPizza by Napoli Sta Ca in Tokyo, Japan; Fiata By Salvatore Fiata in Hong Kong; Massilia in Bangkok, Thailand; and Shop 225 in Melbourne, Australia.
A tribute for chef Margarita was also held during the ceremony.
The 50 Top Pizza Awards is an award-giving body of 50 Italy Group, which started listing the best pizzas in 2017. It launched in Italy and soon expanded across the world to include the APAC region.
