Filipino bakery-cafe known for cheese rolls, ensaymada is expanding to Singapore

Mary Grace Cafe & Bakery, a homegrown concept known for its ensaymada and cheese rolls, is set to open its first store in Singapore!

The announcement was made on Mary Grace's Instagram account and website both dedicated to its soon-to-open Singapore branch.

"The secret's out: the ovens are warming, the butter's melting, and something truly special is rising on our sunny shores," the bakery-cafe wrote.

"You guessed it - the beloved Mary Grace Ensaymadas and Cheese Rolls are coming to Singapore!" they added.

Mary Grace hosted a three-day online pop-up in September, which was "met with sold-out success," Time Out Singapore reported

On its Singapore website, the delicious ensaymada is priced a $31.50 for a box of six, while its cheese rolls is priced at $24.50 for a box of six.

All of its pastries are baked fresh in Singapore, it added.

Singapore will be Mary Grace's first outlet overseas.

It first opened as a bazaar kiosk in 1994 where the famous ensaymada and cheese rolls were offered. In 2002, it opened its first store and four years later, in 2006 opened its first cafe. 

In Metro Manila, it has branches in Alabang Town Center, Ayala Malls Circuit, Century City Mall, and Bonifacio High Street, among others.
