Craving for chicken & beer? Korea’s famous ‘chimaek’ chain opens first PH branch

One of South Korea’s beloved chicken-and-beer concepts, or “chimaek,” has officially landed in the Philippines with the opening of Daily Beer’s first branch in Arcovia, Pasig City.

The 100-seater restaurant brings together crispy Korean-style fried chicken and ice-cold craft beer, offering the same consistent quality as its founding branch in South Korea.

Manila guests can enjoy a wide range of craft beers, including crowd favorites such as Red Lager, Ginseng Lager, Weizen, and the popular Somaek Soju Bomb.

On the food side, crispy and flavorful fried chicken is, of course, the star of the menu. Among the best-sellers is the Angry Bird, which delivers a spicy kick adjusted to suit Filipino tastes.

Other menu highlights include Chicken Gangjeong, Gimbap, and Tteokbokki.

Daily Beer is ideal for barkadas, office groups, and even families. A serving of their signature chicken ranges from P550 to P950, which is already good for sharing among three to four people.

Aside from Arcovia, Daily Beer plans to open additional Philippine branches, including one at SM Fairview in December and another at Paseo Parkview by April 2026.

Daily Beer was founded in South Korea in 2014. Since then, it has grown into a major name in the chicken and craft beer scene, with branches in Thailand and Singapore.
