Toyo Eatery's Chef Jordy Navarra brings Filipino dishes to Qatar Airways flights

Chef Jordy Navarra, the owner of the Michelin-starred Toyo Eatery, is taking Filipino cuisine to new heights: to the skies!

As a selected guest chef of Qatar Airways’ in-flight dining program, Jordy will be on top of the menu for the first- and business-class of Manila-to-Doha flights.

On its website, the international premier luxury airline recognized Jordy for his “inventive, modern approach to beloved Filipino dishes.”

Joining the Filipino food champion in the program are other renowned Asian chefs: Garima Arora for Doha-to-India flights; Michihiro Haruta for Tokyo-to-Doha routes; and Thitid “Ton” Tassanakajohn on flights from Thailand and Singapore to Doha.

Among the dishes being served on the class flights are chilled scallops with mustard leaf and salted egg by Chef Jordy; tiger prawn by Chef Ton; traditional millet khichdi by Chef Garima; and white chocolate and vanilla mousse by Chef Michihiro.

In October 2025, Navarra was also recognized at The Best Chef Awards 2025, where he retained his Two Knives (World Class) distinction.
