Vehicle rams into Matteo Guidicelli's Alabang restaurant
A vehicle rammed into Matteo Guidicelli's Da Gianni Cucina Italianna restaurant in Alabang on Sunday afternoon causing it to temporarily close its al fresco section.
"At around 4:00pm today, an incident occurred where a vehicle rammed into our al fresco area," Matteo wrote on Instagram, where he also showed photos of the wrecked restaurant, a white SUV pushed into Da Gianni.
"We are grateful to share that no guests were injured," he added, saying diners had left by 1:30pm leaving the area clear and empty when the freak accident occurred.
The two staff members who happened to be inside at the pizza oven area of Da Gianni when it happened "were immediately brought to the hospital for medical checks."
"Thankfully, there are no serious injuries and they are currently being taken care of," Matteo continued.
Because the damage is limited to the restaurant's exterior, Da Gianni remains open for indoor dining. It has temporarily closed its al fresco area.
Choosing to keep positive, Matteo in his caption said he'll take the accident "As a reminder" to stay alert.
"Awareness and prevention are essential. You never know what situation you might find yourself in, so be careful, be ready and always be aware," he wrote, as he said a thanksgiving prayer for keeping his team safe.
"Thank you for your concern and prayers. Please stay safe, everyone."
On Monday morning, Da Gianni advised its Instagram followers that its indoor dining area is open, while its al fresco area remains closed.
