Live music meets comfort Asian dining at this new BGC spot
Good music is always a welcome addition to any dining experience, but there's something undeniably special about enjoying a meal with a live band playing in the background.
In the lively streets of Forbes Town in Bonifacio Global City, Red Manila offers a fresh dining concept where live music is a key part of the experience, combined with a menu of comforting Asian dishes.
On the first floor, guests are welcomed into a casual dining space reminiscent of cozy diners across Asia, specifically in Japan, Hong Kong, and China.
The interiors feature warm red brick walls and cushioned seating arranged around circular tables, creating an inviting aesthetic for both groups and solo diners. A semi-open kitchen adds to the experience, allowing guests to catch glimpses of chefs in action while aromas of freshly prepared Asian dishes fill the air.
The menu highlights a wide selection of flavors across Asia. Chinese favorites include truffle siomai, hakaw, xiao long bao, rice crispies with whipped onion, and shrimp wonton soup. For Japanese-inspired offerings, diners can enjoy sashimi, spicy tuna hand rolls, original salmon, and nori tacos, to name a few.
Behind the bar, a thoughtfully curated drink selection complements the food. Guests can choose from classic cocktails like gin & tonic and Negroni, or explore house specialties such as Red Manila's Hugo Spritz and Purple Haze.
When you head upstairs, the ambiance shifts dramatically from casual to sophisticated, with a stage for live music taking the spotlight in the intimate setting.
Each night features a rotating lineup of artists, bands, and even comedians, but between performances, a jazz- and soul-inspired DJ playlist keeps the energy flowing throughout the night.
Red Manila is open daily from 5 p.m. to 2 a.m.
