At this BGC Izakaya, delicious lunch sets start at just P600

The robust BGC dining scene can cater to pretty much every cuisine and craving there is: from Filipino to Indian, from Chinese to Mexican, from brunch to late-night dining, from tasting menus to speakeasies.

What is rare in the BGC dining agenda are price points that are easy on the pocket. 

Enter Izakaya Geronimo. The nearly three-year-old Japanese fusion joint has just released a new menu of delicious items that are reasonably priced, like the P450-soba, sushi and nigiri at P70 apiece.

Especially attractive are the new lunch sets that promise to deliver on taste and price. The lunch sets start at P600 with the Gyoza variant — 9 pieces of the dumpling along with egg rice, miso soup, and braised belly — and go up to the Gindara option (P1,130) that features a generous slice of the yummy fish, a cup of rice, pickled veggies, and 2 pieces of crab croquette.

In between are the formidable sets of chicken teriyaki (P650) comprised of miso soup, 2 pieces crab croquette, 2 pieces sashimi and the chicken teriyaki on top of steaming white rice; ebi furai (P660) with 3 pieces ebb, braised bellu, miso soup, pickled veggies, and a cup of chawanmushi; and karaage (P700) with miso soup, braised belly, pickled veggies, and chopped karaage on top of rice white to name a few.

Beyond lunch, Izakaya Geronimo has menu items that satisfy both your Japanese cravings and your pocket like the spinach ohitashi (P175), buttered potatoes (P120), and edamame (P150).

Highballs start at P250, while crisp Sapporos start at P320. 
  
According to a press statement, culinary consultant Chef Tetsuya Honda designed the menu around iconic Japanese dishes and fresh takes on izakaya signatures.
