Filipino restaurant Hayop among Michelin-Selected restaurants in Singapore Guide 2026

Filipino restaurant Hayop is among the 165 restaurants that made it to the Michelin-Selected list of the prestigious guide's Singapore 2026 edition.

"Hayop serves modern Filipino fare in a wood-rich space with a subtle maritime theme, a reference to the country's fishing industry," the Michelin Guide said of the restaurant, recommending the Wagyu and Watermelon Sinigang dish, the lechon de leche, and Hayop's Asian-inspired fruity cocktails.

On social media, Hayop said, "to be selected in the Michelin Guide 2026 is truly an honor."

"Filipino cuisine is rooted in warmth and bringing people together over a meal, and we’re so grateful for the opportunity to share our take on it," it added as it thanked its patrons and dedicated the honor to the team.

Hayop belongs to the Moment Group, which includes Manam, 8Cuts Burgers, Ooma, Mo Cookies, to name a few, in its portfolio. They also brought Din Tai Fung to the Philippines.

Located on Amoy Street, Hayop opened in Singapore in July 2024.

Meanwhile, 2026 marks the 10th year of Michelin Guide Singapore. This year, it gave three Michelin stars to three restaurants, two Michelin stars to nine restaurants, and one Michelin star to 33 establishments. Some 97 restaurants received the Bib Gourmand, while 165 restaurants are Michelin Selected.

According to the Michelin Guide website, Selected restaurants "aren’t yet at the level of a Star or Bib Gourmand, but still provide a great dining experience and fully merit being in The MICHELIN Guide."

"A listing in The MICHELIN Guide means guests can be assured of the freshness and quality of ingredients and that the chefs know their craft," it added.
