Daisy Ridley’s fitness level: Definitely a Jedi
We come bearing no spoilers, because even without the events in that little movie called "Star Wars: The Force Awakens," Daisy Ridley's training videos seem like very compelling proof that she is in fact a Jedi.
The actress, whose career is poised to reach the (you guessed it) stars after playing Rey in one of the biggest science fantasy franchises in the world, may not be able to move objects using The Force, but she does exert a lot of it.
Due in part to people questioning scavenger Rey's extraordinary abilities in the movie, an Instagram video of Ridley doing a 176-pound deadlift has resurfaced. She's basically lifting a full-grown adult human being from the ground with those arms.
Her other training video was shared during the holidays, but most people probably need it this week. There's proper distance from the festivities and people are now trying to resolve their feelings about their post-lechon bodies.
In the video, Ridley does lunges, jump squats, more deadlifts, and most other things that would help fulfill that resolution to be more active and healthy (and fit).
But in true Jedi fashion, Ridley reminded people that, "You just have to do what makes you feel good, try not [to] compare yourself [with] other people and LOVE YOURSELF!" — Aya Tantiangco/BM, GMA News
