Neighbors help give birth to baby boy in Sampaloc

A baby boy was born into the world surrounded by helpful neighbors on November 1 at Lardizabal corner Lapidario Street, Sampaloc, Manila.

GMA News' stringer Ferdinand Villones witnessed the birth of Marilyn and Reuben's son at around 10 pm in Barangay 413 Zone 42.

Marilyn gave birth on a table aided by two nurses, Raffy Diolanda and Richard Oxillo, who were tapped for help by Barangay Kagawad Ayumi Vilalrin.

The entire barangay cheered and clapped when they heard the baby cry.

Marilyn and her baby were brought to the Sampaloc Hospital on the barangay's mobile patrol.

It was later revealed that Marilyn and her partner Ruben were initially turned away by the same hospital at 4 p.m. on the same day. — Ferdinand Villones and Aya Tantiangco/BM, GMA News
