Gary V is ‘out of the woods’, 95% done with with postoperative care

On Thursday, Angeli Pangilinan announced that her husband is "out of the woods."

Angeli has been taking to Instagram to provide updates for partner Gary Valenciano's fans.

According to his doctors, Gary is "95% done with the post surgery meds and care" and they instructed him to write about it "so he can save lives."

"The CCU (coronary care unit) nurse said 'He’s the smoothest post-operation Type 1 diabetic bypass patient I’ve ever had'," Angeli shared. "All his doctors were ecstatic. The fastest recovering Type 1 diabetic of 39 years (taking insulin since he was 14) who had a double bypass surgery. They said!"

They cut his chest, sawed and cracked open his sternum to get to his strong heart, cut up his left thigh to get a vein to graft into his very healthy heart. ♥?(And I saw these thick tubes taken out of his stomach!) And the other day..on the third day he rose again.... and stood up! So on the fourth day one doctor said “I saw his heart! It’s the heart of a young man! Like a 20 year old’s!” Yey! Gary's sternum was cracked open to expose his heart and a vein from his left thigh was grafted to it. It was a major operation, but Gary was up and about on the third day and on the fourth, his doctor said, “I saw his heart! It’s the heart of a young man! Like a 20 year old’s!”

“Pards you can go home in two days. I am so happy!” another doctor said.

Gary has yet to post updates on his personal Instagram account, but he has assured his fans that he is "a-okay." — Aya Tantiangco, GMA News.
