Being sexually active doesn't cause irregular periods, doctor says

In a recent Pinoy MD episode, OB Gynecologist Dr. Raul Quillamor said that having sex doesn't cause irregular periods.

He said, "Walang kinalaman ang sexual activity sa irregular menstruation kasi ang irregular menstruation ay maraming dahilan diyan at hindi ang pagiging active sexually isa doon."

According to Quillamor, some of the causes of having irregular menstruation are having hormonal imbalance, being obese, or having a problem in your ovaries or uterus.

However, it is highly suggested to go see a doctor to check the root cause of irregular menstruation. — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
