When to get lumps and bumps on your skin checked
When is it time to get that strange lump on your skin checked?
Dermatologist Jean Marquez said that just because a lump is not painful, it doesn't mean it's not dangerous.
In an episode of Pinoy MD, Marquez said to watch out for bumps that grow abnormally.
Marquez also said that there are lumps that grow underneath the skin.
The lumps that are solid and movable are more than often benign cysts.
It's the hard unmovable ones that are worrying.
Kapag movable ang sinasabi nila ay this could be a cyst na mas madalas, ito ay benign," she said.
"'Pag hindi gumagalaw, nag-iisip sila ng mas malalang sakit or mas kailangang bantayan," she added.
However, Marquez said that the best course of action is to have it checked regardless.
"Better pa rin na ipatingin po natin," she said.
