Carla Abellana says 2019 broke her 'psychologically, emotionally, and physically'

"Goodbye to a year that broke me psychologically, emotionally and physically," the Kapuso actress wrote in a year-end Instagram post.

"To say that it was tough is an understatement. I fought so many quiet battles," she added.

Looking quite happy in the photo she shared from Bali, Indonesia, Carla said she's looking forward to a better year ahead.

"And yet here I am, with God’s grace, still standing and choosing to remain grateful and faithful. Here’s to hoping and praying for a stronger and better year ahead," she wrote.

Although Carla did not go into full detail about her struggles, her heartbreaking New Year post caused her followers to send her uplifting messages.

The Kapuso actress just spent the holidays with her family and her boyfriend Tom Rodriguez in Osaka, Japan.

In her travel vlog, she revealed their trip was hampered by several trips to the hospital due to the severe pain she's been experiencing in her knees.

Nevertheless, Carla is set to star in the highly-awaited series "Love Of My Life" which comes out later this year.
