Wounded horses from Taal Volcano eruption are treated by 'Born to be Wild' host Doc Ferds Recio

Shortly after his co-host, doctor Nielsen Donato, joined rescue operations of animals in Batangas, "Born to be Wild" host Doc Ferds Recio is treating animals that have been wounded by Taal Volcano's eruption.

Doc Ferds, who is a Batangueño himself, was seen treating and attending to the wounded horses in Batangas, as seen in Born to Be Wild's Facebook post on Thursday.

Although the horses managed to save their lives, their skin was burned by the volcano's activity.

Doc Ferds, along with his partner Doc Nielson Donato, hosts the Sunday morning show "Born to be Wild" which educates the viewers with the animal kingdom.

On Thursday, PHIVOLCS has maintained Taal volcano's activity to alert level 4 as sulfur dioxide emissions continue to increase. — Kaela Malig/LA, GMA News
