Residents of a barangay in Quezon City join together to sew washable face masks

Residents of Barangay San Isidro Galas in Quezon City joined together to sew washable face masks as their way of helping their fellow countrymen in our  fight against the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

According to YouScooper Nino Chritopher Fernandez, this project is led by their Barangay Captain John Maravilla Reyno.

Their production of the washable face masks are still ongoing but they are expecting to produce about 300 pieces.

Nino said to avoid overcrowding, they will distribute the washable masks house-to-house with free alcohol.

He said their top priority are households with senior citizens.

President Rodrigo Duterte announced on Monday that an enhanced quarantine in Luzon will be implemented starting March 17.
