How GMA News reporter Saleema Refran and crew keep safe from COVID-19

How do GMA News reporter Saleema Refran and her crew keep themselves safe from the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)?

On her Facebook account, Saleema shared videos of her being thoroughly disinfected by her crew members Arnel and Aleks.

All of them were wearing face masks, while Saleema was also wearing a face shield.

The crew members also made sure to disinfect each other, taking care to include their shoes, as well as their tripod.

"This is how we do it," Saleema wrote. "Sa mga nag-aalala po sa amin nina Arnel Gomez at Aleks Belgz, palagi po kami nagdi-disinfect."

Media personnel continue to go out and deliver the news to Filipinos despite the risk of catching virus.

As of Thursday, the Philippines has recorded 5,660 COVID-19 cases, 362 deaths, and 435 recoveries.
