Aiko Melendez reveals weight loss secrets after body shamers accuse her editing photos


When Aiko Melendez went from size 10 to size 6, some netizens had a hard time believing it, leading them to accuse the celebrity of editing her photos.

Denying the rumor, Aiko revealed her efforts and secrets in successfully losing weight in a vlog post.

"Ire-reveal ko sa inyo sacrifices ko at kung ano ang mga supplements at procedures na ginawa ko para pumayat," Aiko said.

The "Prima Donnas" actress admitted that all her life, she's battled with her weight, including being called several hurtful things.

"Andiyan 'yung tinawag nila akong mukhang nanay, eh nanay naman talaga ako. Proud ako na nanay ako ni Andre at ni Martina. Mukhang aparador, ine-edit ko daw picture [ko], eh wala naman akong time mag-edit. Hindi ako marunong mag-edit ng picture," shared.

Aiko said while most resorted into eating amid the quarantine, she did the opposite. Aiko started to watch her diet to achieve the body that she wanted.

"Nagpapayat ako. Gusto ko maging healthy ako at gusto ko pag-balik ko sa TV via Prima Donnas, masho-shock ang tao sa kin na kalahating tao ang makikita nila kay Kendra," she said.

On her first month of diet, Aiko went as low as 500 calories a day, counting every calorie of what she eats.

The actress' tip to those who want to lose weight? "Watch what you eat because what you eat is who you are."

"Five months wala na talaga akong alchohol. Check your lifestyle, watch what you eat and have a goal," she said.

"Set niyo yung mind niyo ano yung gusto niyo ma-lose at body model at dapat love yourself."
