Children’s book aims to show young boys how to take proper care of their genitals

A new children’s book entitled “Ako ay May Titi” (I Have a Penis) aims to educate young Filipino boys on how to take proper care of their genitals.

According to local publishing house Lampara Books, the book written by Genaro R. Gojo Cruz and illustrated by Beth Parrocha can help parents explain the sensitive topic to their children through a story.

“Ang mga bagay na hindi alam ng mga bata ay hindi nila mapahahalagahan at maiingatan,” Lampara wrote on their Facebook page.

“Tulad ng mga mata na hindi dapat tusukin, at mga kamay na dapat laging hugasan, may mga iba pa tayong bahagi ng katawan na dapat kilalanin at bigyang pansin,” it added.

“Nakasanayan na kasi natin na mahiya sa usapin ng bahaging ito ng katawan pero paano malalaman ng mga batang lalaki ang pag-iingat sa kanilang titi kung hindi natin sila tuturuan,” Lampara said.

Copies of “Ako ay May Titi” are already available on Shopee for P95.
