Heart Evangelista says birthday last year was her lowest point in life: ‘This was my hardest battle with anxiety’

Heart Evangelista has revealed the lowest point in her life that she had never shared with anyone.

Asked by one of her followers to share via Instagram story a photo showing her “lowest point but no one really knows,” Heart posted a photo of herself looking glamorous and taken outdoors.

“It was my birthday last year ... everything was perfect but my mind was fighting with my soul,” the actress captioned the photo. 

“It felt like angels and demons were fighting over my existence,” she added. “This was my hardest battle with anxiety and nobody knew.”

This isn’t the first time Heart Evangelista has opened up about her mental health. Last month, she revealed that she would constantly have panic attacks and experience physical pain due to her extreme anxiety.

The actress was the lone Filipino speaker at the recent virtual Global Town Hall 2020, where she urged the public to remove the stigma surrounding mental health. – Kaela Malig/RC, GMA News
