Ariana Grande’s latest Instagram photo sparks comments on her weight
Ariana Grande’s latest Instagram post had some of her more than 229 million followers airing their concern over her weight.
The singer shared a photo of herself with her arms stretched out and her midriff exposed between her crop-top sweater and high-waisted jeans.
While her fans flooded the comment section with hearts and praises, some commenters criticized Ariana for seeming “underweight” and “too skinny.”
Fans, nevertheless, defended Ariana from speculations by citing her diet, workout and “naturally” small frame.
Meanwhile, some people accused Ariana of “promoting toxic body images to young girls.”
Several netizens also slammed other IG users for praising the singer’s slim appearance, including one influencer who commented: “Your waist is goals.”
As of writing, the post has received more than 42,000 comments and garnered over 8 million hearts in just one day.
This is not the first time Ariana faced online body-shaming.
