Too tired from WFH? Here’s a quick skincare routine you can try
Taking care of our skin may appear to be time-consuming, especially if we’re tired from working from home and attending to other errands.
However, according to dermatologist and cosmetic surgeon Dr. Maika Slatensek, there’s a quick skincare routine you can try that will need just a small amount of your time.
During the launch of BYS Philippines’ new skincare line on Friday, Slatensek said the first step in your routine should be micellar water.
“Micellar water is actually a must,” she said. “Every day, even if I don’t put on makeup, [I] use it to remove impurities from my skin.”
After using micellar water, Slatensek said you’d need facial wash to remove sweat and oil and unclog your pores.
You can also use non-abrasive scrubs to exfoliate your skin from time to time.
After washing your face, Slatensek said you just need to use toner, moisturizer, and sun block, and you’re good to go.
“Always wear sunblock. Even if you’re at home facing a window. UV rays penetrate windows ... and prolonged UV exposure can cause skin pigmentation, long-term causes skin cancer,” Slatensek said.
She said it’s important to build a good skincare routine because it’s a good investment in ourselves.
“It’s an investment on yourself. You need to invest on your skin. You just need to focus on putting up a routine, setting it, and after a while, you really reap the benefits of the skincare routine you’re using and you’d get to enjoy your skin and enjoy it more,” she said.
Cosmetic company BYS Philippines on Friday unveiled Skin by BYS, a locally crafted skincare product line launched on a global scale.
