Pregnant Divine Lee gets dose of COVID-19 vaccine
Divine Lee, who is pregnant with her third baby, received her dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.
In an Instagram post on Thursday, Divine shared a photo of herself getting inoculated.
"Mas masaya pa than sa tinext back ni Crush or baka kalevel. Hahaha! Pregnant and vaccinated," she said.
(Happier than receiving a text from crush or maybe it's the same level.)
She also added that she will do a vlog to explain her decision.
According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), pregnant women can receive a COVID-19 vaccine, as they are more likely to get severely ill with COVID-19 compared to those who are not pregnant.
Although there are currently limited data on the safety of COVID-19 vaccines in pregnant people, experts believe that vaccines are unlikely to pose a risk to pregnant women.
"Getting a COVID-19 vaccine during pregnancy can protect you from severe illness from COVID-19," the CDC said.
Aside from Divine, other celebrities such as Isabelle Daza, Chito Miranda, and Alice Dixson have received their doses of the COVID-19 vaccine.
Last March, Divine and her husband Blake Go announced that they are expecting their third baby.
According to a GMA Entertainment report, all of Divine's children were conceived through in vitro fertilization (IVF).
