Sanya Lopez says bikini showdown in 'First Yaya' celebrates body positivity

Sanya Lopez and her female co-stars in "First Yaya" recently set the internet on fire with their beach-ready bodies in the famous "bikini showdown."

In Nelson Canlas' report on "24 Oras," the Kapuso actress said they did the episode to promote body positivity and say no to body shaming.

"Whoever you are, be confident and happy and content, that's what is most important," she said in Filipino.

On Instagram, Sanya also shared several group photos taken by the women of the cast in front of a pool.

Flaunting various body types in different kinds of swimwear, Yaya Melody and company smiled, smized, went wacky, and enjoyed the sun.

In a previous episode, Yaya herself previously wowed in a red bikini. Asked whether she has more sexy looks to serve, Sanya was coy.

"For now, that's it so our audience won't grow bored. But Yaya Melody won't back down for sure and she must always be ready," she said.
