Ynna Asistio, mom Nadia Montenegro tested positive for COVID-19
Ynna Asistio and her mom Nadia Montenegro tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
On Instagram, the actress wrote her COVID-19 story, sharing a photo of herself with the words "Why COVID made me stronger" written on it.
Ynna said she at first tested negative, while her mom Nadia tested positive.
"Half of the family had Covid here’s my story. Did RT-PCR test because I was suppose to leave for Bicol. When the test came out that afternoon, I was negative but sad part is mom tested positive," Ynna wrote in the caption of her post.
Ynna said their whole household is considered PUI (persons under investigation).
"While fixing my requirements for my flight, I had to print the results only to find out that i was also positive," she wrote.
"I remember running out of the house cause I was at the dining beside all my siblings hahaha," she added.
Ynna said she started as asymptomatic but on the 5th day of quarantine, "I started to feel mild symptoms like cold sweats, headache, fatigue, loss of appetite (but I didn’t lose my senses of smell & taste), nausea and shortness of breath."
However, Ynna said what bothered her the most is the pain on her lower back.
"I panicked and called Doctora Melissa our family doctor and went to check on me. She said I was starting to develop phlegm and asked to have an oxygen ready," she said.
"So I followed just to be sure. Every time I breathe, I would feel a sharp pain a stabbing pain on my back but my oxygen level was normal," she added.
Ynna said she "could breathe normally pero mabigaaat and masakit."
Ynna was a former Kapuso who is known for her roles in the GMA-7 shows including telefantasya "Mga Mata ni Anghelita," "Who's Your Daddy Now?," and "La Vendetta." — Jannielyn Ann Bigtas/LA, GMA News
