'Ambulansyang de paa' gets pregnant woman to a hospital in Mt. Province

A pregnant woman living in a far-flung area of Natonin, Mt. Province recently found herself in dire need of medical assistance.

Thankfully, she reached the hospital just in time via “ambulansyang de-paa” or ambulance on foot.

According to a report on Monday’s “Unang Balita,” police officers and residents fashioned the make-shift ambulance out of some bamboo and a blanket, and carried the pregnant woman on foot for an hour. — Margaret Claire Layug/LA, GAM News
