Marian Rivera just convinced some reluctant people to get vaccinated vs COVID-19


Netizens weren't kidding when they said, "Marian Rivera supremacy."

The Kapuso Primetime Queen and her husband, Dingdong Dantes, recently  received their first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine.

Following the couple's announcement on social media, it appears that many people who had been reluctant to get inoculated were now convinced to take the shot.

On Twitter, netizen Carlo said that his mom was finally ready to get vaccinated after she saw Marian receive her dose.

"Napagod pa ako mag explain, si Marian lang pala sagot," Carlo wrote in a tweet that now has over 35,800 likes.

("I got tired from explaining but it turned out that Marian was the answer all along.")

Another netizen with the handle name @dishar02 said, "Buong angkan ko din. Si Marian lang pala ang sagot."

(My entire family as well. Marian was the answer we needed.)

The actress saw the viral tweet and shared it on her Instagram story, wishing everyone to stay safe.

In an interview with Aubrey Carampel, Marian and Dingdong revealed that they were scared to get vaccinated in the beginning, but they felt safe after some research.

Marian said that she doesn't like needles and injections, but she after she got inoculated she realized it wasn't as bad as she thought.

The actress also said that she felt at ease because the doctors were thorough in their explanation.

"They explained properly what side effects may appear and it was written on the card given to us they are there to answer any question we may have," she said.

Marian and Dingdong said that they are scheduled to receive their second dose in July.

Aside from DongYan, other celebrity couples who received their vaccines together include Iya Villania and Drew Arellano, Danica Sotto and Marc Pingris, and Maris Racal and Rico Blanco.
