Arjo Atayde tests positive for COVID-19

Arjo Atayde has tested positive for the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).

His company Feelmaking Productions Inc. made the announcement on Wednesday through its Facebook page.

“Arjo Atayde tested positive for COVID-19 as shooting for his new film culminated in Baguio last August 16. Arjo was suffering from high fever, headaches, and difficulty in breathing,” the statement read.

According to the production house, it was a mutual decision between them, Arjo’s parents, and the doctors to rush the actor, who had a pre-existing medical condition, to a Manila hospital Tuesday.

It said they also provided medical assistance to nine others who tested positive but were asymptomatic and currently in quarantine.

It added that they had reached out to Baguio City Mayor Benjamin Magalang and assured him of their compliance to their commitments.

“We are grateful for the opportunity to shoot in their beautiful city and apologize for whatever inconvenience that this unfortunate incident may have caused.”

They are asking for prayers for Arjo and the nine others for their speedy recovery. – Franchesca Viernes/RC, GMA News
