Kris Aquino to seek treatment abroad, rules out cancer, diabetes

Kris Aquino has ruled out cancer and diabetes among her illnesses, but she is set to go abroad for treatment.

Sharing a video of herself getting a blood test, Kris listed down the conditions she had been cleared of.

“Cancer is ruled out, kidney function is okay, sugar is fine (meaning no diabetes), and so far, liver function is okay considering all my maintenance [medicine],” she wrote on Instagram.

Kris said the blood test was “to see kung viable ako for the treatment I want to try before we go abroad.”

Earlier on Wednesday, she had a consultation with allergy specialists to check how serious her health problems were.

“Kailangan unahin namin yung pinaka malaking hadlang—my allergies and my chronic urticaria. Hindi kasi alam how I’ll react to the dyes needed for tests like CT Scan, MRI, and lahat ng may -gram sa ending,” she said.

Kris thanked those who had sent their support to her and asked everyone to continue praying for her and her loved ones.

Last week, she asked for prayers on her 51st birthday and said her doctors revisited her medical history because “something” had been “overlooked.”

Shortly after revealing her split with former Interior Secretary Mel Sarmiento, Kris clarified she was not in a critical condition and confined in ICU.

Last year, Kris revealed that she was diagnosed with an autoimmune disease. She had since been sharing updates on her medical condition. – Franchesca Viernes/RC, GMA News
