Bianca King opens up about pregnancy struggles: ‘Felt like an underachieving, tired, lazy, emotional hot mess’

Bianca King opened up about the challenges in her first trimester of pregnancy.

In an Instagram reel featuring her growing baby bump and ultrasound videos, the actress and first-time mom called this period in her life “a joyous time filled with gratitude and… hunger!”

Bianca said that she felt all the classic pregnancy symptoms, such as being “hungry all the time, heartburn, frequent bathroom trips, nausea all day, sore boobies.”

“I cried over anything. I was brattier [and] needier than usual. Felt like an underachieving, tired, lazy, emotional, hot mess. Getting up to feed myself was an achievement,” she said.

Bianca said all pregnancies were different and women may feel different symptoms.

She added that the first trimester was a crucial stage in every pregnancy, and could feel very isolating if the woman was not ready to share the news.

“Then there’s the fear of miscarriage, chromosomal abnormalities and what could go wrong. Getting sucked into the [black hole] of research. Also slowly discovering what I shouldn’t be eating and drinking and getting frustrated by it. No tiramisu!!! But at some point I chose to stop worrying,” Bianca said.

She said that after the noninvasive prenatal testing and early morphology scan, “the OB assured us the baby is healthy!”

Bianca ended her post by thanking those who gave her words of encouragement.

“I was open with as many people as I could be. I needed the support. Just in case something happened, I wouldn’t mind sharing the bad news too. I appreciated everyone who checked up on me and were interested in my experience. If you know someone who’s pregnant, call them,” she said.
