376 children from Quezon receive free dental care thanks to GMA Kapuso Foundation
A total of 376 children from General Nakar, Quezon received free dental services thanks to the GMA Kapuso Foundation.
According to a report on "24 Oras," Monday, the beneficiaries enjoyed free dental checkup, tooth extraction, and fluoride varnish application.
The project, Linis Lusog Kapusong Kabataan, was conducted in partnership with Philippine Association of Private School Dentists (PAPSD).
"Ang kalusugan ng ngipin ay mahalaga at konektado sa pangangatawan ng mga bata dahil kung ang ngipin natin ay masakit hindi tayo makakain ng wastong pagkain na kailangan ng katawan natin," said PAPSD president Dr. Natividad Machica.
The children were also given hygiene kits and taught how to brush their teeth properly and wash their hands.
Among the beneficiaries were the 12 children of Margie Solestre, who could not afford to buy toothpaste and had to simply use water.
For those who are interested to help, GMA Kapuso Foundation is accepting donations through bank deposits, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Shopee, PayMaya, Zalora, MegaMart, Globe Rewards, Metrobank credit card, and Lazada.
