R’Bonney Gabriel experiences Philippine summer: ‘ I’m not sure if I packed right for this heat’

R'Bonney Gabriel is currently in the Philippines, to stay in the country for a longer period this time.

On Instagram, the Miss Universe 2022 shared portraits of herself in an all-black outfit, featuring a cropped blazer from her own label, while in BGC.

In the same post, the Filipino-American beauty queen and fashion designer also shared her airport look when she arrived in the Philippines, which was a white cropped top underneath a blue jacket and a pair of blue relaxed pants.

“After a 16-hour flight with my overstuffed suitcase, I made it here!” R’Bonney said in the caption.

“Y’all said it was hot, but I’m not sure if I packed right for this heat,” she added.

In case you didn’t know, it’s not advisable to wear black or dark clothes during summer as they absorb light and hold warmth, keeping the body hot.

Instead, it’s better to wear white or light-colored clothing, which reflects heat, helping the body keep cool.

Earlier Monday, PAGASA’s data showed that 13 areas in the country have been classified as in danger due to the forecast heat index.

Based on the forecast, Dagupan City in Pangasinan will experience the highest heat index at 45 degrees Celsius.

The heat index is the measure of the temperature that a person feels, which is computed considering the actual air temperature and humidity.

Aside from making smart choices with your clothing this summer season, let this be a reminder to stay hydrated and avoid too much sun exposure, mga Kapuso!

On Sunday, R’Bonney announced that she had returned to the Philippines for work engagements under her new talent agency, Empire/Mercator.
