300 kids in Camarines Sur benefit from GMA Kapuso Foundation's feeding program

A total of 300 children in Gainza, Camarines Sur benefitted from GMA Kapuso Foundation's Give a Gift, Feed a Kid program.

The feeding program, which kicked off in June, aims to give undernourished children the proper nutrition through a special menu created by a nutritionist.

According to "24 Oras" Monday, among the beneficiaries of the feeding program was Rosalie Dela Trinidad's child.

Rosalie plants her own vegetables at home so their family has access to healthier food.

She added, however, that her plants would get flooded when it rains, saying, "Dito po kasi sa amin, mag-high tide lang po, matubig na po sa pananim namin."

Aside from the feeding program, the GMA Kapuso Foundation, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture, also taught parents how to plant their own produce at home through Gulayan sa Bakuran.

"Ang kadalasan pong problema po dito sa Gainza 'pag umuulan, bumabaha, and part of the urban gardening is the vertical farming.

The paents were also supplied their own seedlings.
