Over 1K blood bags collected by GMA Kapuso Foundation, PH Red Cross in blood donation drive

A total of 1,818 blood bags were collected by the GMA Kapuso Foundation and the Philippine Red Cross through the Sagip-Dugtong Buhay blood donation drive held at a mall in Quezon City early this February.

According to Mel Tiangco’s report on “24 Oras," Friday, among those who participated in the bloodletting project was Joshua Oliver Chua.

“Way back 2023, naaksidente kasi 'yung utol ko. So kinailangan niya ng dugo so parang nakita ko kasi 'yung kahirapan na kumuha ng dugo that time,” said Joshua.

Meanwhile, 16-year-old Sheena, the youngest blood donor, joined the blood donation drive alongside her father.

As for Regina Patricio, she brought her whole family with her to donate blood.

Thanks to the blood donors, the GMA Kapuso Foundation and the Philippine Red Cross got to collect a total of 1,818 blood bags in February alone.

For those who wish to support GMA Kapuso Foundation's projects, donations may be made via Metrobank, Land Bank, BDO, Bank of Commerce, UnionBank, PNB, Cebuana Lhuillier, GCash, Lazada, and Shopee.
