Gigi De Lana now stable following fainting incident after Davao performance

Gigi De Lana is now stable following a fainting incident after her performance in Samal, Davao del Norte.

In a Facebook post on Sunday, Gigi’s management, Tritone Entertainment, said that the singer was immediately given medical attention when she briefly passed out after her last song.

“To everyone who has been sending messages and asking about Gigi, thank you so much for your love and concern,” they wrote.

“After her performance last night in Samal Island City, Davao Del Norte, Gigi experienced extreme fatigue and briefly passed out after her final song."

According to Tritone Entertainment, Gigi is now safe and in stable condition.

“She was given immediate attention and care, and we’re grateful to share that she is now safe, stable, and currently resting," they said.

They also expressed their gratitude to fans and supporters who sent well wishes to Gigi, emphasizing that her recovery is their top priority.

“Despite not feeling well, Gigi still chose to honor her commitment and perform for everyone who came to see her. This reflects the deep respect and professionalism she has for her audience,” Tritone Entertainment said.

“We sincerely appreciate all the prayers, messages, and support you’ve been sending. For now, our priority is making sure she gets the rest and recovery she needs.”

In 2023, Gigi had canceled a Nueva Ecija gig after fainting on stage during a show in Ilocos Norte the night prior. She and her bandmates were involved in a vehicular accident en route to Ilocos Norte, and continued the show after receiving medical clearance.

Gigi is best known for her hit cover of Roselle Nava's "Bakit Nga Ba Mahal Kita." More of her songs include "Bibitawan," "Sa Dulo," and "Naghihilom" with Sponge Cola, among others.
