Ate Gay reveals he is supported by Heart Evangelista amid cancer battle

Ate Gay revealed that one of the key people supporting him as he battles cancer is Heart Evangelista.

On Tuesday's episode of "Fast Talk with Boy Abunda," the comedian said that the Global Fashion Icon financially supports his day-to-day life.

"Napaka buti ni Heart," Ate Gay said.

"Si Ma'am Heart, ayun ay nakilala kong may gintong kutsara sa labi," he added. "Kasi bata palang ako nakikita ko na siya, nag-wo-work ako sa Singing Cooks and Waiters."

Heart's personal assistant called Allan K's manager to connect her to Ate Gay when he went public with his illness.

"Monthly niya po 'ko binibiyayaan," the comedian said.

Ate Gay also said that Heart offered to take him to Singapore for treatment.

"Isa 'yon sa mga binigay sa 'kin ni Lord, at napakasuwerte ko na may tumulong sa akin," he said. "Mahal ako nila, at marami pa pong iba."

Ate Gay also shared that Chaye Cabal-Revilla is the one who spent for his hospitalization and medicines at Asian Hospital.

"Mula day one, pati hanggang ngayon. Kasi 'yung expensive na immunotherapy sinagot din 'yun, 12 days po 'yun," Ate Gay said. "Biruin mo, 346,000 isang session at labing-dalawa po 'yun."

Other personalities who helped Ate Gay include Coco Martin, Jolo Revilla, Mark Lapid, Lito Lapid, and of course, Allan K, who gives him work at comedy bars.

"Nakita ko silang lahat sa panahon na kailangan ko sila, kahit 'di ko hiningi," Ate Gay said. "Kusa silang dumating sa buhay ko, kusa silang nagbigay. 'Yun ang inaano ng puso ko."

In a September 2025 episode of "Kapuso Mo, Jessica Soho," Ate Gay disclosed his Stage 4 cancer diagnosis, and since then, blessings came pouring in for the comedian.

An anonymous donor helped him with his radiation therapy at the Asian Hospital, while a fan lent a condo unit nearby for the comedian's convenience.

After six days of treatment, the lump on his neck had visibly shrunk. In an October interview with Nelson Canlas, Ate Gay gave the lowdown of his full treatment: 35 days of radiation and five times a week of chemotherapy.

In November, Ate Gay said he already "graduated" from radiation and chemotherapy.
