Kim Atienza earns certificate as mental wellness facilitator
Kim Atienza has earned a certificate as a mental wellness facilitator after completing a mental health training program.
On Instagram, the Kapuso host shared that he took part in a “Mental Health First Aid Workshop” organized by DMR Psychological Services. The program enables participants to offer support to individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.
As seen on his post, Kuya Kim finished the eight-hour training program on April 24.
A mental health advocate, Kuya Kim previously offered help to a netizen dealing with mental health issues.
The Kapuso host is still grieving his youngest daughter, Emman, who passed away at the age of 19 last October. He has been advocating for kindness in honor of her memory since then.
In a recent episode of Liza Diño and Ice Seguerra's podcast, Kuya Kim said he is "going to take some classes in counseling because so many people approach me now — people I don't know who are also suicidal or also have a mental health problem."
"I think duon ako dinadala ni Lord. Naging magnet ako sa mga taong nangangailangan ng advice sa mental health," Kuya kim added.
