Celebrations are venues to share in each other’s enjoyment and commemorate life’s big wins. From blowing out birthday candles to speaking with confidence at an important event, these occasions are meant to be fully enjoyed. However, something as simple as tooth pain or sensitivity can either make or break our spirit for the occasion.

Oral health problems are a common reality that quietly hold people back from being present in life’s big and small moments. Six out of ten Pinoys experience tooth sensitivity, while only around 11 percent have access to solutions such as dentures.

These gaps show how teeth concerns are more than cosmetic. It reveals how widespread dental issues can be, affecting not just comfort but also the confidence to put ourselves out into the world.

Haleon Philippines, the company behind trusted oral healthcare brands Sensodyne and Polident, is working to change that by helping Filipinos rediscover their smiles. They believe that a healthy smile fulfills a greater sense of self and grants access to better ways of living.

Building on four years of successful collaboration with the Philippine Dental Association (PDA) and Philippine Association of Registered Dental Technologists (PARDTI), Haleon recently launched Ngiting Tagumpay, a nationwide initiative to address the nation’s growing oral health needs. The program will bring expanded educational campaigns, community outreach, dental consultations, free dentures, and product samples from Sensodyne and Polident to major cities across the country.

“We at Haleon believe every Filipino deserves access to quality dental and denture care," shared Maimai Punzalan, General Manager of Haleon Philippines. "A healthy smile makes a real difference in people's lives, from finding success in their livelihoods to sharing moments with loved ones."

The Ngiting Tagumpay initiative aims to shift the culture of reactive tooth repair into proactive maintenance. With a focus on prevention, Haleon seeks to improve oral health outcomes by encouraging people to receive timely care backed by a legacy of science-based solutions and trusted support.

Since its rollout, the advocacy has already reached thousands of Filipinos and provided hundreds of free dentures. Throughout the years, Haleon has also provided over 5,600 dentures to Filipinos in need through its “Oplan Balik Ngiti” program.

“Through programs like Ngiting Tagumpay, we can reach more communities with reliable information while connecting them to proper dental care,” shared Dr. Lucilo Niñal Jr., President of the Philippine Dental Association. “Our continued collaboration with Haleon also reflects the value of working with partners who prioritize science-based solutions and responsible health advocacy.”

When dental issues persist, the quality of life significantly diminishes. It limits our capacity to hold space for people and milestones that matter to us most.

Healthy teeth make up the many faces of everyday victories. Investing in good times isn’t just saving up to make a huge moment happen, it’s consistent work to make real moments last.
