Dingdong Avanzado undergoes surgery amid health challenges

Jessa Zaragoza shared that her husband, Dingdong Avanzado, has been facing health challenges and has been in and out of the hospital since June.

On Instagram, Jessa apologized for being inactive and for postponing some of her scheduled commitments, explaining that she has been focused on caring for Dingdong.

“Since Father’s day, June 22 we’ve been going back and forth to the hospital, as Dingdong’s been facing health challenges,” she said.

Jessa reflected on the challenges of caring for a loved one who is ill, saying she has had to stay alert to attend to his needs.

“Between his surgery and being admitted again this Past Friday. I’ve realized, di din biro mag alaga ng loved ones mo na may karamdaman. I have to be on my toes all the time pag may kailangan sya,” she said.

She also thanked their family and friends for visiting Dingdong, sending food, and offering prayers during the difficult time.

Looking ahead, Jessa shared that they are hoping Dingdong can celebrate his birthday outside the hospital.

“Yun na lang daw ang Birthday wish nya,” she said.

Jessa did not disclose the reason for Dingdong's surgery, but she thanked his medical team, including his cardiologist, urologist, and infectious disease specialists.

“Thank you Lord,” she said.

Dingdong and Jessa have been married since 2001.
