Get to know Celeste Cortesi's up-and-coming beauty brand Asul
After her stint at the Miss Universe 2022 pageant, Celeste Cortesi didn't shy away from exploring new opportunities in the Philippines.
She tried acting in 2023, and then went into the beauty industry. In 2024, she launched her own beauty brand, Asul.
It debuted with a single lip care product: The Clear Lip Plumper (P699), which delivers hydrating, cooling, and plumping benefits for a naturally fuller-looking pout.
The brand later expanded its lineup with Lip Peptides SPF15, a moisturizing lip treatment infused with peptides and SPF 15 for sun protection. It comes in five shades: Shea Butter (P699), a clear gloss; Toasted Coconut (P799), a nude sheen; Berry Babe (P799), a vibrant berry tint; Pink Guava (P799), a coral finish; and Cherry Red (P849), a shimmering red.
Asul also introduced its Lip Definers, creamy lip liners designed to define and sculpt the lips with a soft matte finish. Available in six shades ranging from caramel nude to deep wine red, each liner retails for P999.
Completing the collection is the Lip Cheek Pocket Blush, a multi-use tint for both the lips and cheeks that's ideal for touch-ups on the go. It comes in three universally flattering shades: Peach Parfait for a sun-kissed glow, Strawberry Mousse for a fresh rosy flush, and Red Velvet for a bolder pop of color. Each shade is priced at P1,299.
As of writing, Asul remains in its early stages, with a primary focus on the lips and a curated selection of color cosmetics rather than a full-face makeup range.
In July, Asul had a retail debut at Beauty Bar in BGC, Taguig, where Celeste shared that building the brand helped her emerge from "a very dark and depressing place" following her Miss Universe journey.
