'Call of Duty: Mobile Garena' to hold first Battle Royale Major in Manila

“Call of Duty: Mobile Garena” is bringing its first-ever Battle Royale Major to Manila, with a $40,000 (approximately P2.5 million) prize pool up for grabs.

The “Call of Duty: Mobile Garena” Battle Royale Cup 2026 (CODM GBRC 2026) will hold its offline Grand Finals in Manila on November 7 and 8, bringing together 10 teams from across the Garena region.

Seven of the 10 Grand Finals teams will come from Singapore, Malaysia, and the Philippines, while the remaining slots will be represented by teams from Indonesia, Thailand, and Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.

For Filipino players and teams, the road to the Manila finals starts with open registration, which runs from September 8 to 21.

The tournament’s qualifiers will run from September 26 to October 4 in a single-elimination format, with one round played per map.

The competition will then move to the Group Stage on October 10 and 11, where 40 teams will be divided into four groups of 10. The top five teams from each group will advance to the Playoffs.

The 20 remaining teams will battle across eight maps during the Playoffs on October 17 and 18, with the seven highest-ranked teams earning a spot in the Manila Grand Finals.

At the Grand Finals, teams will compete across up to 12 maps over two days under the game's new EndGame Protocol.

Under the format, a team must first reach a designated points threshold to become eligible for the championship before winning a map to claim the title. The tournament will end once an eligible team secures a map victory.

The inaugural Battle Royale Cup is dedicated to Call of Duty: Mobile's Battle Royale mode and provides players with a new route from open competition to a major regional e-sports stage.

The Manila Grand Finals will also mark the second offline regional Call of Duty: Mobile - Garena tournament hosted in the Philippines this year, following the Garena Summer Invitational 2026, which was held in May. —Carby Rose Basina/JCB, GMA News
