Pokemon Unite announces end of service in March 2027

It's the end of an era for Pokémon Unite.

In an official statement on its website, The Pokémon Company announced that Pokémon Unite will be shutting down next year.

"We regret to inform you that service for Pokémon UNITE will end on Tuesday, March 23, 2027," the statement read.

The upcoming shutdown applies to both the Nintendo Switch and mobile versions of the game.

The company expressed its gratitude to players who have supported the game since its Nintendo Switch launch in 2021.

As a farewell to fans, Pokémon Unite will hold a special event leading up to the shutdown. The previously announced Pokémon Unite Aeos Crown 2027 Tokyo competitive tournament will also proceed as planned.

Starting November 12, players will gain access to Unite Coin Exchange, allowing them to redeem special coins for Unite licenses, Holowear, Trainer fashion items, and other rewards.

A new Library feature will also launch on the same day, allowing players to revisit their collected items, achievements, and tournament results even after the game's servers shuts down.
