Here's a closer look at the beautiful pieces of jewelry Catriona Gray wore at Miss Universe

Reigning queen Catriona Gray didn't just wear any earrings to Miss Universe, she proudly wore symbols of the Philippines.

Tessara jewelry on Facebook revealed that the now-in vogue patriotic ear cuffs all started with Catriona's sketch  during her preparations for the Binibining Pilipinas pageant earlier this year.

That ear cuff is called "Three Stars and The Sun."

But ever so extra, Cat went over and beyond the ear cuff in her Miss Universe bid.

At the preliminary event, Catriona wore dangling earrings called the "Pearl of the Orient" inspired by Philippines' title Perlas ng Silangan.

At the Miss Universe coronation night, Cat wore an ear cuff called "Alab at Dangal."

It is very similar to the iconic "Three Stars and the Sun" except the new ear cuff is a two-piece little darling composed of south sea pearl studs complementing the main cuff that had a diamond-studded star dangling from it.

The earrings is made out of gold, studded with diamonds and rubies.

Catriona heavily promoted Philippine culture all through her Miss Universe bid, wearing outfits that showcased Filipino couture during pre-pageant activities.

At the preliminary event she wore an orange dress inspired by the Ibong Adarna, at the finals night she wore a red dress representing the Mayon Volcano. — LA, GMA News
