OPM hits 10 billion streams globally on Spotify

Spotify on Tuesday released data that's music to the ears of Filipino artists.

As of January 1, 2019, Spotify's records show that close to 10 billion streams of OPM content has been consumed.

The streaming service launched the OPM hub in 2015 and it has since added playlists that showcase the best in local music like "Tatak Pinoy", "OPM Favorites", "OPM Rising" and "Pinoy Covers".

Just recently, Kapuso star Julie Anne San Jose hit the 7 million mark on her cover of the Parokya ni Edgar song "Your Song." And that's just one of her songs!
