Makeup for morenas? Here are Gabbi Garcia's secrets

At a Maybelline New NYC event Tuesday, Gabbi Garcia generously shared some of her beauty secrets.

A proud morena, Gabbi swears peach and nude tones work best for her.

"I go for very peachy coral blush-ons and then when it comes to the lips I prefer nudish, brownish," Gabbi said.

Gabbi said she's not a fan of pink lippies, but when she has to wear one she said she neutralizes it with brown or nude lipstick.

If there's one makeup mistake she regrets doing, it's wearing dark lips with dark eye makeup.

"Before I remember na kapag dark na 'yong eyes, nagda-dark lips pa ako and then I observed na it's not bagay. I don't think makeup artists actually do it — it depends on the occasion, but mostly not," Gabbi said.

The Kapuso Millennial It Girl says it has to be a balance. "When I have smokey eyes, I go for nude lips. When I have a red lipstick, I go for neutral color lang sa eyes." — LA, GMA News
