Jose Rizal, Maria Clara and Padre Damaso as chess pieces? This set has them

YouScooper Alexandra Magboo shared a photo of a unique chess set built by her sculptor father Lan Magboo.

The uniquely Filipino chess pieces were based from historical figures and characters such as Jose Rizal (king), Maria Clara (Queen) and Padre Damaso (Bishop).

According to Alexandra, the pieces were made from resin and fiberglass.

It took his father two to three weeks to complete the chess set.
